73年の歴史を持つ手術手技研究会において、若手外科医の研鑽、手術手技研究会の若手リーダーの発掘を目的として「ビデオ賞」が設けられ毎年公募選考がなされています。
その「ビデオ賞」を本年度（2019年度）呼吸器外科グループの河谷菜津子先生が受賞しました。該当者がいない年もある非常に格式の高い賞です。河谷先生の今後の更なる活躍が期待されます。
