新年度のご挨拶
謹啓 皆様におかれましては平素より一方ならぬご指導を賜り感謝を申し上げます。
今年も群馬大学総合外科学講座より、年間英文論文集「Surgical Science 2018」を発刊し、64編の2018年発行の英文論文を納めさせていただきました。この英文論文集「Surgical Science」は桑野博行先生が2004年より毎年発刊をされ、現在まで続いてまいりました。桑野博行先生は総合外科学講座の発足以来、講座主任をお勤めでしたが、2018年の3月末を持ちましてご退官されました。私共はその志を引き継ぎ一人でも多くのacademic surgeonを育成し、「Surgical Science」をさらに充実したものにすべく努力をいたします。
現在、群馬大学は循環器、呼吸器、乳腺・内分泌、消化管、肝胆膵、小児の6分野からなる大講座として運営をさせていただいております。2018年3月1日には阿部知伸先生に循環器外科分野教授にご就任いただき、また2019年4月1日より佐伯浩司先生を消化管外科分野の教授としてお迎えしました。したがって、正に今年が群馬大学総合外科学講座の新たな出発と考えております。
私共は昨年4月に新たに「個人の成長を大切にし 、外科医がやりがいと誇りを持って溌剌と活躍する「人の集う組織」を目指します」という理念を制定いたしました。今春は7名の外科医を目指す先生方に仲間に加わっていただきました。医会員一人ひとりが得意の分野で成長することを目指してはおりますが、大学である以上、教育と研究でも成長し、一人でも多くのacademic surgeonを育成できますよう努力を重ねてまいります。
石川島播磨重工業、東芝と社長・会長を歴任し、第4代経団連会長、更には第二次臨時行政調査会の会長として行政改革にも辣腕を振るった、昭和の大経営者、土光敏夫氏の座右の銘は「日に新たに、日々に新たなり」とお聞きしております。中国・商時代の湯王の言葉で、「今日という日は、天地開闢以来はじめて訪れた日である。それも貧乏人にも王様にも、みな平等にやってくる。そんな大事な一日だから、もっとも有意義に過ごさなければならない。そのためには、今日の行いは昨日より新しくよくなり、明日の行いは今日よりもさらに新しくなるように修養に心がけるべきである」という意味だそうです。ー土光 敏夫「私の履歴書」「経営の行動指針」より
私共は心新たに「日に新たに、日々に新たなり」という精神で臨床・教育・研究に取り組んでまいる所存ですので、皆様におかれましては今後ともなお一層のご指導、ご鞭撻を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。
